Background

Everybody thinks Monica is pregnant, but her denial shifts the focus to Phoebe, who claims she is pregnant to cover for Rachel, the one who is expecting. When Monica realizes it is Rachel, she and Phoebe have her take another test; Phoebe first calls it "negative", and Rachel's disappointment shows how she truly feels about having a baby before Phoebe says it is positive.

Chandler surprises Monica by having taken dance lessons for their wedding reception, but his slippery shoes leave him with two left feet. Joey tries to impress Mrs. Bing's date, a Broadway director, and Ross meets Mona at the reception. The episode is dedicated to "The people of New York City" in remembrance of the September 11 attacks, which happened 16 days before it aired.
