Plot summary

The evil wizard Aballister brews a potion of power, which the priest Barjin uses to unleash the Chaos Curse at the Edificant Library. Cadderly must overcome a memory-blocking spell to lift the curse and save the Library, with the aid of Ivan and Pikel Bouldershoulder among others.

Creation

The character of Cadderly was created after six Drizzt books, originally planned as a monk but changed to a cleric due to Dungeons & Dragons 2nd Edition class changes. Mary Kirchoff proposed the cleric protagonist, and Salvatore developed a spiritual journey for him, tied to the god Deneir.
