Background
Shaw's crew attacks a highway military convoy in Spain carrying the computer chip needed to complete Nightshade, and Dom's crew stops them. In The Fate of the Furious, DSS agent Luke Hobbs is sent on an off-the-books mission to retrieve an EMP device from a military outpost in Berlin; Dom steals it for the cyberterrorist Cipher, who, Deckard Shaw reveals, had earlier hired Owen to steal Nightshade.
