Time Traveler Luke
A bellboy travels time to protect artifacts and find his grandfather.
Time Traveler Luke (Korean: 시간여행자 루크) is a South Korean-Malaysian animated series co-produced by Anyzac, SK Broadband, Daewon Media, and Giggle Garage. Set in the interwar period and drawing from steampunk influences, the story takes place at a hotel filled with historical artifacts. The hotel’s founder, Paul, is a time traveler who uses a hidden elevator behind a library bookshelf to safeguard artifacts at risk of vanishing. His grandson Luke knows about the elevator and uses it to travel through time, retrieve missing artifacts, and search for Paul. Along the way, Luke encounters Indiana, another time traveler who steals artifacts in pursuit of wealth and fame.
The series was first developed in 2017 under the title Bellboy Luke, as shown in a now-unavailable trailer uploaded in 2018 to the official YouTube channel, which had previously featured their earlier series Zombiedumb. In those early clips, Jean had darker skin and black hair, while Luke remained largely the same. A poster also existed under the title Luke: Lost & Found.
Main characters include Luke (voiced by Kim Chae-ha in Korean), a bellboy who time-travels to find and protect artifacts; Jean (voiced by Ahn Youngmi in Korean); Leo; and Paul, Luke’s grandfather.
