Background
The albums Devil's Night (2001) and D12 World (2004) topped charts in the US, the UK and Australia and were both certified double platinum by the RIAA, with singles including 'Shit on You', 'Purple Pills', 'Fight Music', 'My Band' and 'How Come'. In 2004 D12 won the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Hip-Hop Act. Eminem's hiatus and Proof's death in 2006 made the group less active; between 2008 and 2015 a core of Bizarre, Kuniva and Swifty McVay released three mixtapes. Eminem's 2018 album Kamikaze includes 'Stepping Stone', which announced that D12 had broken up, and in June 2026 Kuniva and Swifty McVay released D12 Forever, Volume 1 as a duo.
