Gameplay allows players to manufacture custom weapons by combining items in maintenance rooms, unlocking combo cards for combinations like the Hail Mary (hand grenade duct taped to a football) and Paddlesaw (two chainsaws duct taped to a kayak paddle). Up to 1,000-2,000 zombies can appear onscreen simultaneously. Multiplayer includes the in-game reality TV show 'Terror Is Reality' where four players compete for kills in an arena, and cooperative story mode where the second player controls a different character, not Chuck Greene, with only the host able to save progress.
