Antizin
The drug that slows the infection and suppresses its symptoms.
Antizin is a drug in Dying Light that slows the process of infection and suppresses its symptoms. It arrives in Harran in the Global Relief Effort's airdrops, which the warlord Rais steals and hoards, and the Tower's need for it drives much of the story.
Lore & Background
Crane is sent to an Antizin airdrop but the GRE orders him to destroy it and buy the drug from Rais instead; Rais promises two crates for his services and hands over five vials. When the GRE halts the drops, Crane and Jade raid Rais's storage facility looking for Antizin and find plastic explosives instead. In the museum Rais offers Crane a single dose to save either himself or Jade, and Jade injects Crane before turning. In The Following the survivors are running short of the drug, and the cult's elixir, like Antizin, only suppresses the infection. By Dying Light 2, the GRE's vaccine and Antizin have become ineffective against the new THV strain during The Fall, though UV light can suppress symptoms.
