Mithral Hall

The dwarven stronghold under Fourthpeak that Bruenor Battlehammer retook and rules.

Mithral Hall (sometimes spelled Mithril Hall) is a dwarven stronghold beneath Fourthpeak Mountain in the Frost Hills, part of the Spine of the World in the Forgotten Realms, and one of the best-known dwarven holds in Faerûn. It began as a mithral mine of Clan Battlehammer and grew into an underground town that exports mithral, mithral goods and iron. In R. A. Salvatore's Streams of Silver (1989) Bruenor Battlehammer, Drizzt Do'Urden, Wulfgar and Regis search for the lost hall, Catti-brie joins them there, and Bruenor retakes it with the help of the other Companions and becomes its king. The adventuring party takes its name from the place: the Companions of the Hall, also called the Companions of Mithral Hall.
