Hakai
The destructive power of the Gods of Destruction.
Hakai is the power of the Gods of Destruction in Dragon Ball. Beerus, God of Destruction of Universe 7, uses his role to keep the universe in balance by destroying planets, civilizations or threats to its development.
Lore & Background
Whis says Beerus can destroy entire universes. Beerus's past destruction includes North Kai's planet, of which only the small planet North Kai now lives on remains, and he pushed Frieza into destroying Planet Vegeta. After his fight with Goku he also shows he can neutralize any mortal's energy.
Reader's Guide
Each universe has its own God of Destruction, such as Champa in Universe 6, attended by an Angel.
In the manga's Granolah the Survivor arc, Vegeta trains under Beerus to master Hakai. The training leads to a new form he calls Ultra Ego, which grows stronger as he takes damage. In the Tournament of Power, Toppo of Universe 11 also gains the power of a God of Destruction.
