In the One World Under Doom event, Doctor Doom's rule is built on a hidden atrocity: the harvesting of a million souls to empower his magic. Outside Latveria, Black Widow, Invisible Woman, and Scarlet Witch strike a weak spot in the dome and discover a mix of blood magic, chaos magic, and time magic inside. There, a million souls are having their lifetimes harvested to fuel Doom's power. This discovery is transmitted to Mister Fantastic, who makes it public and becomes the Scientist Supreme, attacking Doom in response.

The soul harvesting is discovered when Maria Hill directs Black Widow, Invisible Woman, and Scarlet Witch to strike a weak spot in the magical dome surrounding Latveria. Inside, they find a mix of blood magic, chaos magic, and time magic, with a million souls having their lifetimes harvested to empower Doom's magic. Mister Fantastic becomes the Scientist Supreme and attacks Doom, pulling him into the astral plane, but is easily overpowered and knocked out. Valeria Richards contacts Doom in the mindscape and begs him to stop, but Doom states that "everything has a cost" and sends her out. The harvesting continues until Doom is eventually defeated after Valeria's death, leading him to seek resurrection from the Living Tribunal.
