The Cyberdemon is a gigantic cybernetic demon that serves as a boss in Doom. It appears in the second episode, "The Shores of Hell", where the marine must defeat it to progress. The creature is a fusion of organic flesh and mechanical parts, and it attacks using arm-mounted rocket launchers. Its defeat marks a key turning point in the campaign, as the marine then discovers that the moon Deimos is floating above hell.

Lore & Background
The Cyberdemon is encountered in "The Shores of Hell", the second episode of Doom. After fighting through corrupted research facilities on Deimos, the marine faces this gigantic cybernetic demon. Defeating it is required to complete the episode. Following the battle, the marine discovers from an overlook that Deimos is floating above hell, and rappels down to the surface to begin the next episode, "Inferno". The Cyberdemon is one of the major boss enemies in the game, alongside the Barons of Hell and the spider-demon.
