History

After World War II, the Yugoslav Air Force founded this club. Its name, meaning "Our Wings," came from a pre-war magazine published by the Yugoslav Royal Aero Club. In April 1948, the civilian aeronautical association was revived as the Aeronautical Union of Yugoslavia, which also brought back the magazine. The club’s emblem showed an eagle with outstretched wings over Yugoslavia’s five-torch symbol, framed by a laurel wreath and topped with a red five-pointed star.

The players were air force conscripts, including both pre-war professionals and newcomers. They played home games at the Air Force’s field in Zemun, moving to larger Belgrade stadiums for major matches. Starting in the second-tier league for the 1947–48 season, the team was initially run by player-manager Zvonko Monsider, a goalkeeper borrowed from Dinamo Zagreb. They finished third and earned promotion to the top division.

In the first Marshal Tito Cup, held in November 1947, Naša Krila beat Spartak Subotica in the quarter-finals to reach the final four, where they lost the final 0–2 to Partizan.
