Shuichi Aizawa
The detective who saw the truth behind Kira's divine mask.
Shuichi Aizawa is a brilliant and tenacious detective from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department who becomes one of the few individuals to deduce that Kira possesses supernatural abilities. Initially assigned to investigate the mysterious deaths linked to the vigilante known as Kira, Aizawa's sharp intellect quickly sets him apart from his colleagues, leading him to suspect that the culprit is not merely a criminal mastermind but someone with god-like power.
Background
His investigation leads him to the shocking realization that the Kira Task Force itself may harbor a traitor, confirming suspicions L had already isolated. Through meticulous observation, he deduces that Light Yagami is likely Kira. However, Aizawa survives the entire series; he never falls victim to Rem, who instead kills L and Watari. Aizawa ultimately plays a key role in the final confrontation against Kira.
