Development
Development spanned over three and a half years across a ten-year period. The project uses the official Final Fantasy VII costume kit for LittleBigPlanet 2, with modifications by Colliver, plus independently created costumes for Barret Wallace and Cait Sith. Wutai was particularly difficult to recreate due to its complex layout and numerous cutscenes. Large areas like the Great Glacier and Northern Crater required adaptation to LittleBigPlanet's three-layer structure. File size restrictions forced the game to be split into multiple levels.
