Sera
An Apostle who wields the gift of life with the precision of a weapon.
Sera is an Apostle of the Path of the Healer, a role that places her among the highest-ranking figures within that Path's hierarchy. She embodies the dual nature of her calling: nurturing life while possessing the lethal capability to end it when necessary. Her presence is typically associated with high-level gatherings where the Apostles convene to discuss the future direction of their Path or to coordinate actions against rival Paths. Sera represents a disciplined adherence to the Healer's doctrine, often acting as an enforcer of its will in regions where the balance of power shifts.
Lore & Background
The Apostles of the Path of the Healer serve as the vanguard and voice of their deity's will on the mortal plane. Sera occupies a significant seat at this table, tasked with maintaining order among the lower cultivators who follow the healing arts. Unlike common healers who focus solely on restoration, Sera has mastered the combat applications inherent to high-level cultivation within her Path. She understands that true preservation often requires the removal of threats. Her relationship with other Apostles is complex, defined by a shared goal but differing methods. While some seek expansion through diplomacy, Sera is known for a more direct approach when the Path's interests are threatened. Her existence highlights the reality that in the Cradle universe, even those who heal must be prepared to fight wars.
