Prototypes
Four prototypes were built using Alfa 101 Sprint Speciale chassis. The first, SSZ P1, has a steel body three inches wider and four inches lower than a standard SS, with a conventional hood and trunk. P2 features a single-piece fiberglass front end that tilts, plexiglass windows, and other weight-saving parts. The third prototype includes tilting front and rear sections, side air vents, redesigned taillights, and a longer cabin. P4 adds a hood scoop, enlarged wheel arches, and a single windshield wiper. Only P1 and P2 survive; P3 was wrecked during testing, and P4 was taken apart to create patterns for production models.
