Dyrus began playing League of Legends in its beta phase. His favorite champion is Singed, with which he acquired rank 1 in the beta phase. His career started as a support for All or Nothing, then he joined Epik Gamer as their top laner. He gained exposure through streaming and later moved into the TSM gaming house while still playing for Epik Gamer. After TheRainMan resigned from TSM, Dyrus replaced him and resigned from Epik Gamer. He and teammate Xpecial were selected for the North American team at the May 2013 all-star tournament in Shanghai. Dyrus and TSM won the 2014 Spring and Summer splits, the 2015 Spring NA LCS regular season and playoffs, and the Intel Extreme Masters Season IX Katowice World Finals. They finished 5th at the 2015 Mid-Season Invitational and 2nd in the 2015 Summer split. At the 2015 World Championship, TSM placed fourth in Group D and Dyrus retired after their last game. He briefly returned to professional play in June 2017 with Delta Fox in the NA CS, which disbanded after the league ended.

In Their Own Story

The arena lights hummed. The crowd noise was a low, constant roar, like a wave just before it broke. Dyrus sat at his PC, the blue glow of the monitor painting his face in cool light, and he was already moving his Riven through the river, eyes locked on the minimap where the enemy top laner's icon sat still in his own lane. A whisper from the mid laner: "He's pushing."

Dyrus smiled. Just a small one. He flicked his mouse, and Riven's first combo landed clean—three hits, the enemy's health bar dropping in a single red slash. The crowd in the section behind him erupted, a sudden crack of sound that split the ambient noise. He did not celebrate. He was already rotating, already thinking about the dragon pit, already calculating where the next fight would be in nine seconds.

The enemy top laner, for his part, was typing something in chat. Dyrus never saw it. He was already in the next fight.

Reader's Guide

Dyrus is known for his time as top laner for Team SoloMid, winning multiple LCS titles and appearing at several World Championships. He retired after the 2015 World Championship but briefly returned in 2017.
