Background
Cleveland had gone 57-25 under Tyronn Lue, who replaced the fired David Blatt in January, then swept Detroit and Atlanta and beat Toronto in six. Down 3-1, the Cavs won Game 5, took Game 6 115-101 at home and won Game 7 93-89 at Oracle Arena in Oakland, the first road win in a Finals Game 7 since 1978. LeBron James's chase-down block on Andre Iguodala and Kyrie Irving's late three-pointer decided it. James was the unanimous Finals MVP, averaging 29.7 points, 11.3 rebounds and 8.9 assists, and led both teams in every major category. The title ended Cleveland's 52-year drought in the major leagues.
