Nasty Boys (Cincinnati Reds)
Relief trio that led the Reds to the 1990 title.
The Nasty Boys were a trio of relief pitchers for the Cincinnati Reds: Norm Charlton, Rob Dibble, and Randy Myers. They were key figures in the Reds' 1990 World Series championship. The nickname came from the Janet Jackson song "Nasty" and was a derivative of the Detroit Pistons' "Bad Boys" name. During the 1990 season, the three combined for 44 saves and 351 strikeouts. In the 1990 World Series, they pitched 8 2/3 innings with no earned runs.
