Plot

The story follows Chun Yao, a fairy who once guarded the demons of Wangchuan but was demoted for a mistake, becoming the king of all demons in Bailingtan. He must take Han Sheng, the hapless princess of Beilu Kingdom, on a journey to find a book called "Su Shu" and avoid a "Millennium Calamity." Han Sheng enters Bailingtan and discovers she carries a book that only monsters possess, so she follows Chun Yao to explore its mystery. They experience touching stories together and gradually fall in love with the arrogant and conceited pool owner. Meanwhile, a fledgling righteous Taoist named Bu Fan meets Baishan, a fan who tempts women in the world in exchange for their appearance to collect Yangshou for her husband Asu, and the two become entangled. Kong Qi silently guards his beloved, while Princess Xueyu Baituo Xiaoshan of the God of War Xiao family, after much love, finally understands love's true nature. Shen Ci, a red-feathered fishman, falls in love with Xie Changye, a proton of the Northern Land, and voluntarily endures severe pain to remove her fish tail, becoming his dead man. They rely on each other in power struggles but also consume each other's enthusiasm through repeated sacrifices. Wuxian, an avatar of Avalokitesvara's water from a clean bottle, is sent to raise Sitong, waiting for Sitong to grow up and be destroyed along with the demonic energy of Yaoyuan. During the raising, a strong teacher-student and father-son bond develops, and after learning his purpose is destruction, Sitong becomes a demon.
