Novoland: Eagle Flag

Novoland: Eagle Flag (Chinese: 九州·缥缈录; pinyin: Jiǔzhōu · Piǎomiǎo Lù) is a 2019 Chinese television series adapted from Jiang Nan’s novel of the same name, set in the fictional Novoland universe. It began broadcasting on Zhejiang TV and streaming on Tencent and Youku on July 16, 2019.

The story centers on three young would-be heroes who rise to confront a malevolent warlord and growing dark forces. Lü Guichen, the tribal heir of the nomadic Qingyang tribe, is sent as a hostage to the Xiatang Kingdom in the Eastern Continent. There he meets Ji Ye, an illegitimate son training to become a warrior, and Yu Ran, a princess of the Xiatang kingdom. The three become close friends, and both boys develop romantic feelings for Yu Ran. Meanwhile, the powerful warlord Ying Wuyi tightly controls the Emperor, granting himself unprecedented authority over the nobles. Lü Guichen, Ji Ye, and Yu Ran join the decisive battle against Ying Wuyi at Shangyang Pass, unaware that an even darker conspiracy awaits.

The main cast includes Liu Haoran as Lü Guichen (Asule Pasu'er), the weak and sickly tribal heir of the Qingyang tribe who later becomes a warrior of Tianqi; Song Zu'er as Yu Ran, the bright and spirited princess of the Xiatang kingdom; and Chen Ruoxuan as Ji Ye, a skilled warrior born as an illegitimate son who also joins Tianqi. Supporting characters include Zhang Jiayi as Baili Jinghong, ruler of Xiatang kingdom; Jiang Shuying as Gong Yuyi, Yu Ran’s aunt and royal advisor; Li Guangjie as Xi Yan, a Fox general and Tianqu warrior; Wang Ou as Su Shunqing, a spirit and assassin; Liu Guancheng as Tuoba Shanyue, a Leopard general; Wei Qianxiang as Baili Ningqing; Wei Peng as Xi Yuan; Huang Yi as Baili Yu; Liu Qiushi as Baili Yin; Feng Hui as Ji Qianzheng; Fan Jinwei as Ji Changye; and Chen Zhiwei as Leiyun Zhengke. From the Yin Empire, Xu Qing plays Bai Lingbo, the grand princess; Xuan Yan plays Emperor Bai Luyan; Chen Haoyu plays Princess Bai Zhouyue (Xiao Zhou); and Ken Chang plays Bai Yi, the Dragon general. Zhang Fengyi portrays Ying Wuyi, the ruler of Li kingdom, with Wu Jiayi as his daughter Ying Yu. Northern Continent characters include Dong Yong as Lü Song, the Qingyang chief; Tobgyal as Mengle Huo'er; Li Peilu as Lü Baoyin; Li Ye as Lü Shouyu; Yang Le as Lü Yingyang; Jin Song as Longge Zhenhuang; Yang Xinming as Da Hesa; and Lu Yanqi as Longge Ning.
