The story is set in ancient times, where Anhe Palace threatens the nation. Its owner, An Ye Luo, loved his senior An Ye Ming, but she married Zhan Feitian and had a daughter. To protect the girl from An Ye Luo, Lie Mingjing swapped his son Zhan Feng with her. After Zhan Feitian's death, Lie Mingjing named the girl Lie Ruge and raised Zhan Feng. Lie Ruge and Zhan Feng fell in love, but An Ye Luo tricked Zhan Feng into believing Lie Mingjing killed his father, causing a rift. Lie Ruge later met Yin Xue, who protected her. An Ye Luo coerced Zhan Feng into killing Lie Mingjing, but Lie Mingjing's adoptive son killed him instead. Eventually, Zhan Feng learned the truth and sought revenge. Together with Lie Ruge, Yu Zihan, and Yin Xue, they defeated An Ye Luo and restored peace.
