Magic Touch of Fate (魔術奇緣) is a 2005 Chinese television series directed and created by Jang Su-bong. The show features Ruby Lin, Alec Su, and Kangta in leading roles, and its plot centers on magic and spells.
The cast includes Ruby Lin as Lin Xiao Mei, the 23-year-old owner of a magic café called "Clovers." She is engaged to Jin Xiu, but he leaves her for money and status, leading her to later fall for Jun An. Alec Su plays Wu Jun An, a 25-year-old from a small town who moves to the big city to study for exams, hoping to become a lawyer; he accidentally begins learning magic. Niu Meng Meng portrays Pu Yu La, and Kangta plays Jin Xiu, a 25-year-old top magician and Lin Xiao Mei's fiancé, described as bright and ambitious. Kou Zhen Hai appears as Cai Fei Hong.
Production took place from June 24, 2004, to an estimated end of September that year, with filming locations in Beijing and Qingdao. The director was Jang Su-bong, the screenwriter Chen Yi Xing, and the music composer Zhao Ji Ping.
