Super Deduction
Unveiling hidden truths through relentless observation and logic alone.
Unlike physical combat powers, this skill allows its user to process observable data with near-perfect logical accuracy, reconstructing events and predicting behaviors through minute details. In the supernatural landscape of Yokohama, where abilities often defy physics, Super Deduction serves as a grounding force. It treats mysteries as solvable equations, making Poe an invaluable asset for intelligence gathering and criminal investigation within the Agency.

Lore & Background
Within the world of Bungo Stray Dogs, abilities are often tied to literary figures. Super Deduction does not grant supernatural sight; instead, it amplifies human cognitive processing to an extreme degree. This allows the user to connect disparate pieces of evidence that would otherwise go unnoticed by normal observers. The ability functions best in environments where physical traces remain intact. However, it faces challenges when opponents actively erase their presence or utilize powers that manipulate perception directly. Despite these limitations, Poe's deduction is trusted enough that his conclusions often dictate strategic decisions for the Armed Detective Agency during complex operations involving external threats.
Reader's Guide
Super Deduction functions by processing minute environmental details into absolute conclusions. It is not mind reading but hyper-logic applied at superhuman speed. The user requires visible data; hidden variables can break the deduction chain. This makes it invaluable for intelligence gathering within the Port Mafia, often solving crimes where others see only chaos. Poe must remain calm to maintain focus, as emotional interference clouds judgment. In combat, he anticipates enemy moves by analyzing stance and breathing patterns rather than fighting directly. While powerful against human opponents, it faces limitations when facing abilities that actively conceal information or manipulate reality beyond logic. Consequently, Poe often works alongside fighters who can secure the evidence he needs to analyze.
