Premise
Four children disappeared in Silverpoint woods back in 1997. Over two decades later, a boy sets out to uncover the truth. Now, a team called Dragonfly faces off against three other groups in a series of tests created by an unknown alien force. Each challenge transports the sixteen participants into a distinct alternate world, forcing them to rely on their cleverness and imagination to succeed. If a team loses or chooses to give up, alien artifacts erase all memory of the experience. For Dragonfly, failure means not only losing the game but also forgetting each other and everything they shared.
Reception
Silverpoint earned generally favorable reviews. Common Sense Media's Joly Herman gave it three out of five stars, describing it as a mild, action-packed mystery that stays engaging without becoming violent or disturbing. She noted it lacks the depth of stronger series but suits tweens or younger teens who find Stranger Things too intense. The show received two BAFTA nominations and a Kidscreen Award nomination for Best Live-Action Series, ultimately winning an RTS NI Award for Children and Animation.
