Plot
Brian, a shy young man, is overshadowed by his best friend Lukas, a fanatical motocross rider. Brian looks forward to a desert trip, hoping to meet his idol, The Eradicator, and because Lukas has invited Lisa, whom Brian has long admired. The three travel to the desert, but Brian believes Lisa has a crush on Lukas. Embarrassing scenes at the desert festival cause Brian to disappear. Lukas finds him and tries to persuade him to return, but they discover a secret underground laboratory. Inside, they are attacked by a human-sized giant ant. They call Lisa, who kills one ant. A video message from Dr. Renard reveals his failed experiments and warns that the ants must be kept away from ethanol. All festival attendees are kidnapped by giant ants. Brian, Lukas, and Lisa decide to stop the ants but become separated. Lisa and Brian grow closer, but just before they kiss, an ant kidnaps Lisa. Brian and Lukas find the ants' nest, where humans are alive but intended as food for ant babies. They free Lisa and use super weapons from the laboratory to destroy the ants. They then burn the brood, kill the ant queen, defeat the remaining ants, free the humans, and smoke out the nest.
