Background
A furious BoJack drives Beatrice to a nursing home after she spiked Hollyhock's coffee with weight-loss supplements, telling her they are going to a "magical place where she can never hurt anyone again". Through her fuzzy memories we see her bullied at school after her mother Honey's lobotomy, catching scarlet fever while her father Joseph ignored her complaints, and, as a 1963 Barnard graduate taking "pretty pills" to stay thin, ditching her own debutante ball to sleep with the party-crashing writer Butterscotch Horseman rather than Corbin Creamerman, the dull suitor her father favoured. Two weeks later she finds out she is pregnant. In February 2018 the episode won the Writers Guild of America Award for Television: Animation.
