Background
With Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward he recorded Born Again at the Manor in Oxfordshire, then toured it, struggling to recall Sabbath's back catalogue — he kept the lyrics on a sheet on the stage floor until dry ice made them unreadable. He decided the role could not last and left after a second North American tour, rejoining a reformed Deep Purple in 1984.
