Benfica Campus

Benfica Campus, originally called Caixa Futebol Campus, serves as the training base and youth academy for the Portuguese club Benfica. Situated in Seixal, it was inaugurated on 22 September 2006 and carried sponsorship from Caixa Geral de Depósitos until September 2019. The facility contains nine pitches, three of which have synthetic turf. The main pitch, which has 2,644 seats, is the home ground for Benfica B and is used by the first team, reserves, and youth sides like the under-19s.

The campus includes a hotel with 86 rooms, integrated with the club’s youth academy. Additional amenities comprise two gyms, three physiotherapy rooms, 28 locker rooms, two cafeterias, two auditoriums, swimming pools, jacuzzis, and a sauna. After Benfica TV launched in 2008, a TV studio was added as the channel’s second location.

To accommodate all youth levels and particularly the Benfica B team, the infrastructure was expanded. A new stand with 1,188 seats was built on the main field, raising its total capacity to 2,644 (1,466 covered seats), meeting Liga Portugal’s minimum requirement. A presidential box was added, and changes were made to the press area, control room, turnstile placement, and the visiting supporters’ sector. This stand was inaugurated on 1 December 2013.

As part of the expansion, the total area grew from 15 to 19 hectares, and three new pitches were created, one of which holds 604 spectators.
