The Null Void

The prison dimension where the Plumbers send intergalactic criminals.

The Null Void is an alternate dimension in the Ben 10 franchise, used by the Plumbers as a prison for the intergalactic criminals they capture. People are sent there with a device called the Null Void Projector, and the dimension holds a prison named Incarcecon.

Lore & Background

The projector first appears in the original series episode "Truth", when Max finds it missing from Mount Rushmore. In the season 2 finale Max tries to trap Kevin and Vilgax in the Null Void, Ben is pulled in with them, and Gwen goes in to fetch him; Kevin, imprisoned at Incarcecon afterwards, returns to his original form there. In Alien Force Max uses an unfocused projector to destroy a Highbreed base and is carried into the Null Void himself. There Dr. Animo, calling himself D'Void, has taken control of the Null Guardians and enslaved the inhabitants, and Max leads a resistance under the name "The Wrench".

Reader's Guide

Later stories keep returning to it. Azmuth sends Albedo to a Null Void prison in Alien Force. In Omniverse the Rooters, the Plumbers' black-ops wing, are based there, and the To'kustars who helped the Incursean invasion are imprisoned in it. In the 2016 continuity the High Override traps Vilgax in the Null Void, and Azmuth is held there until the film Ben 10 Versus the Universe.
