Ultimatrix
The modified Omnitrix that evolves Ben's aliens into Ultimate forms.
The Ultimatrix is a modified version of the Omnitrix and the device Ben Tennyson uses throughout Ben 10: Ultimate Alien. It began as an invention of Azmuth that his former assistant Albedo stole and modified; Ben took it from Albedo at the end of Alien Force. It functions similarly to its predecessor but includes a unique capability known as evolution, allowing transformed aliens to adapt into more powerful 'Ultimate' versions capable of handling extreme threats.

Lore & Background
Throughout its usage, the Ultimatrix proved both a blessing and a curse. It unlocked forms such as Ultimate Humungousaur and Ultimate Spidermonkey; in one Ultimate Alien episode the Ultimate forms become sentient and trap Ben inside the device. When Ultimate Alien ends, Azmuth reclaims the Ultimatrix in order to destroy it and hands Ben the completed Omnitrix.
Reader's Guide
The Ultimatrix is synced to the Codon Stream, the DNA source of the prototype Omnitrix, and adds an evolutionary function that turns Ben's existing aliens into their Ultimate forms. Albedo first uses it against Ben, who gets hold of it by threatening to set off its self-destruct. In Ultimate Alien Kevin absorbs its power as a last resort against Aggregor, which costs him his sanity. Azmuth finally rewards Ben's self-control with the completed Omnitrix, which he had been working on since Ben first found the prototype.
