Azmuth is an elderly Galvan from the planet Galvan Prime. Renowned across the cosmos, he is the creator of the Omnitrix, the iconic device that allows its user to transform into various alien species.

Lore & Background
Ben first meets Azmuth in the film Secret of the Omnitrix. Bitter that his creation has been turned into a weapon, Azmuth at first refuses to help, but watching Ben fight Vilgax restores his faith: he repairs the Omnitrix and unlocks the form Way Big. In Alien Force he comes to Earth before the Highbreed invasion, tells Ben that the Omnitrix holds the DNA of every sentient species in the galaxy and unlocks its Master Control. His former assistant Albedo builds a copy of the Omnitrix and later steals the Ultimatrix. When Ultimate Alien ends, Azmuth reclaims the Ultimatrix in order to destroy it and hands Ben the completed Omnitrix.
Reader's Guide
According to the first series, Azmuth invented the Omnitrix so that the beings of the universe could understand each other better; in Alien Force he calls it an archive of the DNA of every living being in the Milky Way, from which a species could be restored after extinction. Ultimate Alien adds a backstory: centuries ago he lived on Primus with his lover Zennith and built the sword Ascalon to manipulate reality, and Zennith left him over his irresponsibility. After Ascalon was used to destroy a planet he swore to devote himself to peace, and he admits he built the Omnitrix partly in the hope that Zennith would notice.
