Rocket Republic Brewing Company was incorporated in March 2013 and received its state ABC license in July 2013. The brewery launched its beers on September 6, 2013, at The Nook, a beer bar in Huntsville, Alabama, with Vapor Trail Cream Ale and Astronut Brown Ale. Initially, the brewery operated through contract brewing before transitioning to its own facility. In March 2015, Rocket Republic ceased contract brewing and began producing beer out of its own 10,000 square foot warehouse space converted into a functioning brewery. The tap room opened on March 17, 2015. As part of this project, the brewery launched an Indiegogo campaign. The brewery owns a 15 bbl direct fire brewhouse from San Diego–based Premier Stainless. The beer lineup includes AstroNut Brown Ale, Dark Matter Belgian Dark Strong Ale, Mach 1 India Pale Ale, Peanut Butter AstroNut, Pomegranate Planet Wheat Beer, Cherry Wheat, Smokehouse Brown Ale (a contract beer with Moe's Original BBQ), Steampunkin' Pumpkin Ale, Terrestri-Ale Belgian style Tripel, and Vapor Trail Cream Ale.
