History
LoCash Cowboys was founded in 2008 in Nashville by Preston Brust, born in Kokomo, Indiana, and Chris Lucas, born in Baltimore, Maryland, both vocalists and songwriters. The duo first signed to R&J Records (formerly Stroudavarious Records), releasing three singles. Their debut single "Here Comes Summer" entered Hot Country Songs at No. 60 for the week ending May 8, 2010, and received a music video on CMT. The second single "Keep in Mind" charted within the top 40 in early 2011, and the follow-up "You Got Me" reached No. 52.
In 2012, LoCash Cowboys released the single "C.O.U.N.T.R.Y." through Average Joes Entertainment, originally intended as the fourth single from their debut album but delayed by the closing of R&J Records. A dance remix featuring Colt Ford appeared on the album Mud Digger, Vol. 3. Brust and Lucas co-wrote Keith Urban's 2011 single "You Gonna Fly" and Tim McGraw's 2012 single "Truck Yeah". By 2015, the duo dropped "Cowboys" and released "I Love This Life" as LoCash via Reviver Records, which became their first Top 10 hit, reaching No. 5 on Hot Country Songs and No. 2 on Country Airplay.
The EP's second single "I Know Somebody" reached No. 1 on the Billboard charts in October 2016. The duo was nominated for the Academy of Country Music's New Duo or Group in 2017. "Ring on Every Finger", released in December 2016, was the third single from The Fighters, written by Thomas Rhett. In August 2018, LoCash signed with Wheelhouse Records, a Broken Bow Records imprint, and released "Feels Like a Party", co-written with Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line, followed by the album Brothers in March 2019.
In 2025, they released Bet the Farm, their first album via their own Galaxy label, including the single "Hometown Home".
