Lore & Background
Bayern Munich has won six European Cup/UEFA Champions League titles (a German record), one UEFA Cup, one European Cup Winners' Cup, and two UEFA Super Cups. The club is one of five teams that have earned the right to keep the trophy and to wear a multiple-winner badge. Bayern has reached the final of the European Cup/UEFA Champions League 11 times, a joint second-most of any club in the history of the competition, and is also second placed in numbers of semi-final appearances with 22. Bayern Munich is one of five clubs to have won all three of UEFA's main club competitions and the only German club to achieve that.
Reader's Guide
Bayern Munich's European trophies consist solely of competitions organized by UEFA: six European Cup/UEFA Champions League titles, one UEFA Cup, one European Cup Winners' Cup, and two UEFA Super Cups. The club has also won two FIFA Club World Cups and two Intercontinental Cups, but these are not European trophies.
