Rayos de Hermosillo is a Mexican professional basketball club from Hermosillo, Sonora. The team competes in the Circuito de Baloncesto de la Costa del Pacífico (CIBACOPA) and holds four league championships, placing it among the most accomplished franchises in the circuit.
The club entered CIBACOPA for the 2009 season by taking over the slot previously held by the Vaqueros de Agua Prieta. Before the Rayos, the last team based in Hermosillo was the Soles de Hermosillo, which played in the league from 2003 to 2005. In 2011, the Rayos reached the finals but were swept by the Mineros de Cananea. They captured their first title in 2012 by defeating the Ostioneros de Guaymas in a seven-game series, then repeated as champions in 2013 by beating the Garra Cañera de Navolato, also in seven games. In 2019, the Rayos faced the Mantarrayas de La Paz in the finals. After trailing three games to two, Hermosillo won game six 99–59 and took game seven 90–77 to secure their third championship in eight years. Terrence Drisdom scored 22 points and Jeremy Hollowell added 19 in the decisive game, with Hollowell named Finals MVP. The Rayos earned a record fourth title in 2024 by sweeping the Astros de Jalisco in four games.
Since 2010, home games have been streamed online. In 2014, the team reached a television deal with Megacable, and broadcasts later moved to Telemax.
