Reader's Guide
After successfully correcting the timeline in nineteen fifty-five, Marty McFly and Doc Brown return to their home year of nineteen eighty-five. Doc then arrives in the DeLorean and persuades Marty and his girlfriend, Jennifer Parker, to travel to 2015 with him to help their future children. In 2015, Marty purchases an almanac containing the results of major sporting events from 1950 to 2000; an elderly Biff overhears Marty and Doc and retrieves the discarded book.
When the plan goes wrong, an alternate timeline emerges where Biff is a tyrant controlling Hill Valley through gambling money. To restore the timeline, Marty and Doc travel back to November 12, 1955, the date on which the young Biff received the book. Marty must recover the almanac while carefully avoiding disturbing the events of his previous visit. Marty burns the almanac, nullifying the changes to the timeline, but a lightning bolt then strikes the DeLorean, sending Doc back to 1885 and leaving Marty stranded in 1955.
This narrative introduces complex multiverse concepts where changing the past creates divergent realities that require precise correction to avoid permanent damage to existence.
