Gameplay

The game centers on two key gameplay elements. Princess Elise can pout, spending Pout Points to alter enemies and the landscape to her advantage. This allows her to force enemies to drop more money or experience points, complete quests automatically, and change the environment into types such as barren, grassland, forest, island, fire pit, graveyard, or desert. As she progresses, her selfishness is refined and she gains additional commands. The second element is Elise's pet Mimic Slime, which the player controls alongside Elise in battle. Instead of leveling through experience points, the Mimic Slime improves by mimicking enemies; for example, mimicking an enemy with high hit points raises its own hit points, and it can gain equipment traits from mimicked foes. The world map is unconventional: the player selects a town, and upon entering, a grid shows the surrounding landscape with one town square, one gate square, and environment squares that Elise can change. To unlock the gate, she must fulfill requests from the town's mayor. In an area, pressing the 'A' button searches for items and monsters. Once resources are depleted, the player can use Pout Points to refresh the area and draw more enemies.

Plot

Elise is a beautiful princess who has always received everything she wanted. On her fifteenth birthday, she realizes the only thing she lacks is a handsome boyfriend. She orders her father to hold a ball and invite every prince in the land. At the ball, she meets her dream boyfriend, but he is an adventurer, not a prince. He tells her she must become an experienced adventurer to be with him, and to the kingdom's surprise, Elise sets out to do just that.
