Gaizka Mendieta Zabala (born 27 March 1974) is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He played mainly for Valencia, where he won three titles as well as reaching the final of the Champions League in 2000 and 2001, and finished his career with Middlesbrough in England.
