Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio, commonly referred to as Atalanta, is an Italian professional football club based in Bergamo, Lombardy. Founded in 1907 by students of Liceo Classico Paolo Sarpi, the club merged with another Bergamo club in 1920, adopting its current name and black-and-blue colors. Atalanta has spent 64 seasons in Serie A as of the 2024–25 season, winning the Coppa Italia in 1963 and the Europa League in 2024.

Atalanta was named after the Greek mythological athlete. The club merged with another Bergamo club in 1920, combining their colors into the nerazzurri kit. Atalanta is sometimes called the 'Regina delle provinciali' (queen of the provincial clubs) due to its consistent top-flight performances despite never winning the Scudetto. The club reached the Coppa Italia final six times (1963, 1987, 1996, 2019, 2021) and participated in UEFA competitions in eleven seasons.
