Lore & Background

Masiello was a graduate of Juventus' youth system and made his Serie A debut for Juventus in 2005. He played for Avellino, Siena, Genoa, Bari, Atalanta, Genoa again, and Südtirol. He was banned for 26 months for match-fixing, including in the Derby of Puglia, whilst playing for Bari, scoring an own goal to guarantee Lecce survival in Serie A. At Atalanta, he cemented himself as a starting centre-back under Gian Piero Gasperini, leading them to a historic 3rd-place finish in the 2018–19 season and making a crucial goal line clearance against Napoli on 22 April 2019.

In Their Own Story

The rain hammered against the roof of the small training ground in Bergamo as Andrea laced up his boots for what felt like the thousandth practice session. The pitch was muddy, the air thick with the scent of wet grass and determination. He didn't need a trophy to feel the weight of the blue and black shirt; the respect of his teammates and the pride of his city were enough. As he sprinted for a loose ball, the familiar roar of the local fans echoed in his mind, a reminder that every pass mattered.
