David Andrew Seaman (born 19 September 1963) is an English former goalkeeper best known for his transformative tenure at Arsenal. Joining in 1990 after a British record fee of £1.3 million, he anchored the club through its most successful period between 1990 and 2003. A three-time league champion and four-time FA Cup winner, Seaman also secured the League Cup in 1993 and the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1994. His career was marked by 75 England caps and a distinctive style featuring a ponytail and moustache. Recognized as one of the greatest goalkeepers in Premier League history, he earned an MBE in 1997 and was nominated for the 1998 Ballon d'Or.
