Lore & Background
Wenger became the first foreign manager to win the Premier League and FA Cup double, in 1998, and repeated it in 2002. In 2003–04 Arsenal won the league unbeaten, part of an English record 49 league matches without defeat. The club reached its first Champions League final in 2006 and moved from Highbury to the Emirates Stadium; the financial pressure of the move contributed to a nine-year trophy drought, before further FA Cup wins in the 2010s made him the competition's most successful manager with seven.
