Extinction
Ark comes to a ruined, Element-corrupted Earth.
Extinction is the third paid DLC expansion for Ark: Survival Evolved, published by Snail Games USA on November 6, 2018. It takes place on a future, dystopian Earth that has been corrupted by Element; creatures in its 'wasteland zones' are infected by Element and attack the player regardless of their normal behaviour.

What it adds
Extinction introduced PvE events in which players defend orbital supply drops from space or Element mineral veins for loot and resources. New creatures, both organic and technological, include the Gasbags, an evolved tardigrade that can inflate itself, blast gas or take flight, and the Enforcer, a robotic lizard that can teleport and deals four times the damage to corrupted creatures. Its final bosses are the Titans, giant creatures several magnitudes larger than anything else in the game, which can be killed or temporarily tamed.
Legacy
Studio Wildcard co-founder Jesse Rapczak has said the Genesis expansions were made partly because of the unexpected market success of Extinction and the season pass.
