Ava Jones, an American archer, competes in women’s barebow events and holds a gold medal from the Pan American Championship. Her father taught her archery. She has a younger brother, Alex, and her parents are Jeremy and Jen Jones. She attended Warren Central High School and committed to the University of Rio Grande’s archery program on March 13, 2026.
In January 2024, at the USA Archery Kentucky State Indoor Championship, Jones set a U18 girls world record for the 18-meter distance with a score of 528. The following month, she broke her own record by scoring 533 at the USA Indoor Nationals in Madisonville, Kentucky. She won the national title at the USA Archery Indoor Nationals Final in March 2025.
At the February 2026 USA Archery Indoor Nationals, she claimed the women’s national title. Her single-round score of 544 set new U21 women’s world and national records. She also established national records for the U21 women’s 18-meter double round and the barebow senior women’s 18-meter double round. Her 18-meter world record improved to 549, and her overall score of 1087 set national records at both the U21 and senior levels. On June 1, 2026, she was chosen for the U.S. team at the 2026 Pan American Archery Championships, where she won individual gold. During qualification, she set a Pan American Championship record with a score of 624, beating the previous mark of 606.
