Joy Foster is an American archer who competed at the national and international level from 2004 to 2008. She was a four-time member of the United States Archery Team and a resident athlete at the Chula Vista Olympic Training Center. Though she did not make the Olympic team, she attended both the 2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing Games as a spectator and journalist, respectively.

Joy Foster began archery in the winter of 2002 after graduating from Skidmore College, where she majored in Economics. She tried out for her first Olympic team in 2004, finishing 6th at the trials. In 2008, she placed 7th in the first round of trials but, after taking three months off due to a tear in her teres minor, failed to advance to the third round, finishing 15th. Despite not making either Olympic team, she attended the Athens Games as a spectator and worked as a journalist for the Olympic News Service at the Beijing Games. She also appeared in ad campaigns for Budweiser and Polo Ralph Lauren in 2008.
Before archery, Foster was a rower for seven years, competing at Phillips Exeter Academy, in college, and after college. Her most notable rowing accomplishment was a gold medal at the Henley Women's Regatta in England in 2001. She has also run two marathons for charity: the Boston Marathon in 2002 for cancer research and the Rock 'n' Roll San Diego Marathon in 2008 for Team Darfur. She volunteered with several organizations in California, including San Diego 211 and Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD).
Foster married British Olympic rower Tim Foster on June 5, 2009, after becoming engaged at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing on August 18, 2008. She previously lived in Luzern, Switzerland, and as of 2026 resides in Oxford, England. In 2015, she founded and became CEO of TechPixies, a tech skills training company.
