Italian traditional bow archer with multiple European and world medals.
Fabio Pittaluga, born in Genoa on 17 May 1965, is an Italian archer specializing in 3D archery with a traditional bow. His competitive career began regionally in 2003 using a barebow, but in 2008 he adopted the instinctive bow—now known as the traditional bow—and quickly found success. That same year, he won an individual gold medal at the Italian championships and a bronze at the European championships. In 2010, he claimed the European title, with footage of the event filmed by RAI and still available online. At world competitions, he earned a silver medal in the individual event in 2009, followed by bronze medals in 2015 and again in Lac La Biche in 2019. After securing three individual European titles, he added a gold medal in 2023 in the traditional bow mixed team category. Beyond competing, Pittaluga serves on the FITARCO National Field and 3D team staff as a Technical Support, working alongside the Technical Director and other federal coaches to prepare athletes for international events.
