Büşra Ün was born in İzmir. At six-and-a-half months old, her parents noticed she had no feeling in her feet. She was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a malignant tumor in her right abdomen. After one-and-a-half years of chemotherapy and two surgeries, the tumor was removed, but damaged nerves left her paraplegic. She is currently a student of sport management at Ege University in İzmir.

Ün began with table tennis before switching to wheelchair tennis in February 2009 while in high school's fourth grade in Buca. She played right-handed, became Turkish champion in women's and junior categories, won the Balkan Championship in 2010, and reached third place in the world under-18 ranking and 30th in the world list. She obtained a quota spot for the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, becoming the first Turkish wheelchair tennis player to represent her country at the Paralympics. After the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, she ended her wheelchair tennis career.

In 2022, Ün took up wheelchair archery. In April 2025, she competed at the 2nd leg of the Turkish Para Archery Cup in Antalya, winning the gold medal in the individual compound open event by defeating Öznur Cire in the finals. She also won gold with teammate Öznur Cüre in the doubles open event at the 2025 World Para Archery Championships in Gwangju, South Korea.
