Motorcity is an American animated television series created by Chris Prynoski and produced by Titmouse, Inc., Robin Red Breast, Inc., and Disney Television Animation. The show aired on Disney XD from April 30, 2012, to January 7, 2013, and was not renewed for a second season. It was Prynoski's first co-production with Disney.

Motorcity is set in a fictional futuristic version of Detroit called Detroit Deluxe, an elevated metropolis owned by the evil billionaire Abraham Kane. Below the city lies an underground refuge named Motorcity, home to a group of rebels called the Burners, led by Mike Chilton. The Burners fight to protect their haven from Kane's tyranny, using hot-rod vehicles and advanced technology. The series follows their adventures and personal backstories, with characters including the computer expert Chuck, infiltration specialist Julie (who is secretly Kane's daughter), technological genius Dutch, and others.

Motorcity was conceived by Chris Prynoski in the early 1990s while at MTV, inspired by car culture and shows like The Dukes of Hazzard and Star Wars. Development began around 1999 but was shelved until Eric Coleman, then at Disney, revived the project. Production started in October 2010 with a team of about 80 people from Europe and Japan. The animation combined 2D and 3D elements using Adobe Flash, Autodesk Maya, and a custom plug-in called Facinator. The series received a 4-out-of-5-star rating from Common Sense Media, which noted its dark tone and underlying social messages. Despite a planned 20-episode first season, the show was not renewed, as revealed on a fan-run Tumblr page on November 5, 2012, partially due to Disney's decisions.
