Petr Mrázek

Petr Mrázek (born 14 February 1992) is a Czech professional ice hockey goaltender for the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted 141st overall in the fifth round of the 2010 NHL entry draft by the Detroit Red Wings, and has since played for the Philadelphia Flyers, Carolina Hurricanes, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Chicago Blackhawks.
Mrázek began his career in the Czech Extraliga with HC Vítkovice Steel during the 2007–08 postseason before moving to North America. In his first Ontario Hockey League season with the Ottawa 67’s (2009–10), he posted a 12–9–1 record with a 3.00 goals-against average and .905 save percentage in 30 games, then went 4–4 in the playoffs with a 2.39 GAA and .928 save percentage. After being drafted, he signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Red Wings on 19 October 2011 but remained in the OHL for 2011–12, where he went 30–19 with three shutouts, a 2.84 GAA, and .917 save percentage in 50 games, and 9–8 with a 2.59 GAA and .929 save percentage in 17 playoff appearances. On 4 April 2011, after Ottawa’s season ended, he joined the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL on an amateur try-out.
Mrázek started the 2012–13 season with the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye, winning his first game 4–1 against the Kalamazoo Wings. He went 2–1 with a 2.02 GAA and .944 save percentage in three ECHL games before moving up to Grand Rapids. He made his AHL debut on 3 November 2012, stopping 29 shots in a 4–1 win over the Texas Stars. He won 12 of his first 15 appearances, setting a franchise record by winning his first six starts. His first professional shutout came on 2 February 2013 against the Abbotsford Heat, and he was named AHL Player of the Week after posting a 0.50 GAA and .981 save percentage in two games. He made his NHL debut on 7 February 2013 against the St. Louis Blues, making 26 saves in a 5–1 win, becoming the second goaltender in history to win his ECHL, AHL, and NHL debuts in the same season (after Alex Auld). He later played in the AHL All-Star Classic, earning the win in a 7–6 game. The Griffins finished first in the Midwest Division and won the Calder Cup, with Mrázek playing all 24 playoff games (15–9, four shutouts, 2.31 GAA, .916 save percentage).
In 2013–14, Mrázek was named to the AHL Second All-Star Team, finishing second in the AHL in GAA (2.10) and third in save percentage (.924) over 32 games.
